Profile

The Department of Rural Development was established in 1992 with a view to foster and sustain academic research and extension programmes to promote the quality and strengthen of Rural Development Professionals. With the final object of improving the quality of rural life in India. The course covers different dimensions of Rural Development. Besides the class room instruction students are exposed to rural realities through regular field work activity.

Apart from academic activities. Department has taken up out-Reach activities by conducting awareness camps on rural development programmes and also Health camps.
