Department of Rural Development has been established during 1992-93 academic year. It offers M.A. Rual Development, M. Phil and Ph. D research Programmes. To satisfy the ongoing demand, the department provides both theoretical and practical exposure to students in various areas. It is a field work oriented programme. All the students had to go to field work once in a week. Department had organized awareness camps in the selected villages to disseminate rural development programmes among the villagers. Department had organized National / International Seminars and Workshops on various themes of Rural Development.
