The Department of Basic Sciences and Humanities (Department of Maths, Physics, Chemistry and English) was established in the year 2009. The Spectacular Sciences and Humanities department plays a significant role – touching the souls of the students when they are afresh. Established in the year 2009, it strives to collate the approaches of Sciences and Technologies making the students ready to receive the hard core engineering principles. The department is working towards fulfilling its mission through a synergistic combination of teaching and research. The department is committed to produce world class professional with basic understanding in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematical and logical thinking along with sound communication skills. This department plays a vital role in preparing the communicative as well as technical skill of students in Communication skills Lab, Physics & Chemistry Lab. Laboratories equipped with adequate instruments add more value to this Department. The practical demonstration in Lab as well as activity based teaching in theory class not only prepare a student to get ready for the degree but also support them to stand confidently in corporate sector in future.

The Department has above 400 published research articles, 18 books, 215 Ph.D & 225 M.Phil. Degrees to its credit. The present faculty organized two Regional, 10 National & 6 International seminars/Conferences. Organized FDP Indo Canadian Faculty Enrichment Award UGC Project AP state best Teacher Award (2) The Department publishes the journal – “An International Peer Reviewed Journal The Cultural and Literary Nationalism of Fourth World.” The faculty of the department is the Vice-Chancellor and the Registrar
Research is active in the areas of British Literature, American Literature, Indian Writing in English (including Parsee Writing in English), Commonwealth Literatures from Africa, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Caribbean and South Asia, Translation Studies, European Literature, Comparative Literature, Contemporary World Literatures, Linguistics, ELT & Second Language Acquisition and Asian Classics in Translation.
